A resident of Florence, South Carolina, Chef Chris Carpenter learned his love of food from his grandma and still considers her an inspiration to this day. Straight out of high school, he knew that the culinary arts was where he was going to flourish. One of his most memorable positions was when he worked as a cook for the Radisson in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is where he learned how to cook for a volume of 300 guests or more. Another great quality of Chef Carpenter is that he loves to utilize fresh ingredients from nearby farmers to implement in his menus.
Prior to joining the team at Crossroads on Main, Chef worked as the Sous Chef at Black Creek Bistro in Hartsville, SC, where he was responsible for menu planning and preparation, catering events as well as the hiring and training of new kitchen staff.
Chef Carpenter has also held positions at Block & Vino Neighborhood Butcher in Florence, SC as the Executive Chef, Catering & Sales Manager.
He also worked as the Executive Chef at Country Club of South Carolina in Florence, SC and was the Executive Chef for Roberto's Italian Restaurant in Florence, SC.
